About the Role:

The Caf Sales Associate is a key member of our retail team, responsible for providing exceptional customer service while accurately transacting sales of fuel and merchandise. This role requires a strong focus on maintaining a clean and organized store environment, as well as ensuring the proper operation of the shift within company policy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide top-quality customer service at all times.
  • Adhere to daily operating procedures to ensure the store is clean, adequately stocked, and organized.
  • Prepare food and drinks, clean, stock, and maintain the food prep area in compliance with health codes as needed.
  • Maintain a safe work environment, including securing all funds in the safe or register, notifying the Store Manager of any sales, cash, or operating discrepancies, and performing loss prevention duties.
  • Properly clean and maintain equipment and ready high-margin products such as coffee, fountain drinks, etc. Check refrigeration equipment for proper performance a minimum of one time per shift.
  • Maintain a clean floor and restroom area at all times. Clean windows, floors, shelving, counters, car wash (if applicable), and parking lot and gas pumps, sustaining the level of cleanliness as outlined.
  • Assure proper sale and accounting for lottery, beer/liquor, UPS, and license when applicable, and comply with company standards on carding customers for all age-restricted products.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Working towards a High School Diploma or GED or equivalent work experience.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
  • Previous retail sales background and 6 months of previous cash handling and customer service experience.
  • Positive outgoing personality and excellent customer service skills.
  • Able to operate an electronic cash register and computer and perform simple arithmetic calculations.
  • Proficient verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work in varying outdoor climates and in-store cooler environments.
