Position Overview

Skyworks is on the lookout for a full-time Staff Test Engineer to join our team, focusing on Timing products. This is an expanding group dedicated to test engineering and technical problem-solving. In this capacity, you will spearhead specific test development initiatives for mixed-signal clock and oscillator products. As a vital member of the team, you will collaborate with other adept test engineers and work cross-functionally with various engineering disciplines. The primary objective of this role is to design, develop, and implement testing protocols within automatic test equipment (ATE) to meet our volume and cost objectives. This includes creating testing solutions centered on probe, package, and characterization testing. Please note that this position does not involve Software Testing, Automation, or Quality Assurance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and launch robust characterization and production testing solutions.
  • Ensure comprehensive test coverage in alignment with product specifications and applications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve technical, cost, and quality objectives.
  • Engage in hardware design, including in-house schematic capture and third-party layout.
  • Develop test software utilizing revision control and adhering to test team standards.
  • Focus on yield enhancement, reduction of test time, and lowering test costs.
  • Conduct data analysis and scripting as necessary to complete and automate developments.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science degree in a technical discipline (Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Science).
  • Over 8 years of experience in the semiconductor sector.
  • Proficiency with Automatic Test Equipment (ATE), preferably Cohu (LTX) DiamondX/DxV/Unison or Teradyne IFlex/J750/IGXL.
  • Experience in test hardware design and troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with one or more programming languages: C, C++, C#, Python, Visual BASIC, VBA.
  • A collaborative team player with strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Knowledge of timing products such as clocks, buffers, oscillators, and crystals is a plus.
