Description

As a key member of Avelo Airlines, Inc., the Ramp Operations Supervisor plays a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient coordination of aircraft on the ground. This position involves overseeing the arrival and departure processes, which includes managing customer boarding and deplaning, baggage handling, and aircraft servicing.

Key Responsibilities and Outcomes

  • Ensure a safe environment for both customers and crew members by proactively addressing any safety concerns.
  • Assist customers requiring wheelchair support, which may involve navigating various surfaces.
  • Operate ramp equipment safely and efficiently, including baggage tugs, belt loaders, and servicing vehicles.
  • Act as a wing walker or marshaller to safeguard aircraft during all operational movements.
  • Manage baggage loading and handling to maintain proper weight distribution and aircraft safety.
  • Maintain clean and sanitary cabin interiors, including restrooms, and stock necessary supplies.
  • Complete all required documentation accurately in both physical forms and digital systems.
  • Supervise aircraft arrivals and departures to ensure a safe and timely operation by coordinating ramp activities.
  • Meet or exceed company performance KPIs.
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with the Operations Control Center (OCC).
  • Have the authority to halt operations due to safety issues.
  • Ensure crew members are performing tasks in a safe manner.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
  • At least one year of experience in airline airport operations is preferred.
  • Must become qualified and maintain current certifications for all required tasks, including aircraft pushback.
  • Possess a valid driver's license from a U.S. state.
  • Pass an FBI background check and obtain the necessary airport security badge.
Other responsibilities may be assigned as needed, and duties may change based on circumstances such as emergencies or workload fluctuations.
