Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Front Desk Receptionist to join our team at The Alcoholic Rehabilitation Services of Hawaii, Inc. This role is responsible for providing exceptional customer service, managing front desk operations, and supporting the admissions and adult services team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure confidentiality of client identity and organizational documents
  • Maintain accurate records of visitor/contact logs, client intakes, exit interviews, and other relevant documents
  • Assist the clinical department in managing client belongings and restricting unauthorized items in the treatment setting
  • Answer telephones, greet visitors, and announce visitors to the appropriate departments
  • Schedule client exit interviews with administrative management
  • Process incoming and outgoing mail, maintain the postal meter machine, and keep a monthly postage log
  • Assist administrative and admissions staff with data entry, billing, copying, and distribution of memos and correspondence
  • Manage waiting area activity level and assist clients as needed
  • Maintain electronic files and check client insurance status
  • Assist with maintaining waitlists and client chart closures and transfers
  • Maintain lunch lists, accept payments, and dispense lunch tickets
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Typing skills of 40 wpm and clerical and data entry skills
  • Previous experience with multi-line telephone systems
  • Knowledge of computer operations
  • Excellent telephone skills and customer service skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to respond calmly and efficiently in stressful situations
Physical and Mental Demands

This role requires light physical effort, occasional standing and walking, and may be exposed to infectious and contagious diseases.
