Job Summary
The Martial Arts Instructor will be responsible for teaching the fundamentals of Martial Arts to children. This role will also involve overseeing administrative tasks, such as paperwork and sign-in sheets, and assisting with program promotion.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach Martial Arts classes to children, focusing on technique, safety, and sportsmanship
- Oversee paperwork, including roll and sign-in sheets, to ensure accurate records and efficient operations
- Assist with program promotion, including developing marketing materials and strategies to increase participation
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement programming that meets the needs of our members and the community
- Provide excellent customer service, responding to member inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner
Requirements
- Age: 18 years or older
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent; college education preferred
- Specialized Skills:
- Strong background and minimum 1 year experience teaching martial arts to children
- Programming/curriculum planning
- Experience working with children
- Ability to communicate effectively and relate to youth
- Ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups of individuals
- Strong character values, communication skills, and emotional maturity
- Current EMSA First Aid, Adult, and Child CPR and AED Certifications (ARC, AHA, and ASHI certifications only)
