Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Controls Specialist to join our team at Jobot. As a key member of our manufacturing team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining control systems for our automotive aluminum and magnesium cast components.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement control systems for plant machinery, ensuring maximum efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  • Troubleshoot issues involving controls programs and make modifications as needed.
  • Work in partnership with machine vendors, maintenance, and process engineers to develop effective automated PLC control and drive systems.
  • Utilize controls systems to improve machine uptime and establish protocols for system access, backups, and data recovery.
  • Maintain electrical systems, including troubleshooting and wiring tasks, and set up and improve current controls systems.
  • Partner with the IT department to ensure line servers are maintained and updated as needed.
  • Ensure strict adherence to OSHA, IATF 16949, ISO 14001, ISO 9001, and all automotive industry standards.
Requirements
  • Two-year degree in Electrical Engineering with 4 years of related experience or Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering with 2 years of related experience.
  • Ability to understand logic control and manipulate logic to repair problems.
  • Proficiency in various controls communication protocols, electrical concepts, and programming languages such as Siemens S7, TIA Portal, RS Logix 500, Studio 5000, and HMI.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work in a team environment.
