Key Responsibilities- Assist pharmacists in the preparation of unit dose, extemporaneous, and parenteral dosage forms and corresponding documentation.
- Deliver medications to patient care areas in a timely manner.
- Remove and credit discontinued medications from patient care areas in a timely manner.
- Prepare controlled substance requests and maintain records in accordance with state and federal regulations.
- Maintain floor-stock inventory and billing component.
- Ensure adequate inventory levels.
- Participate in nursing station inspections.
- Maintain an orderly work environment.
- Ability to read and communicate in the English language.
- High School graduate or equivalent preferred.
- Prior hospital or home health pharmacy experience.
- Current registration with Pharmacy Technician Certification Board as a Certified Pharmacy Technician.
- Interpersonal communication skills (both written and oral) required to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.
- Ability to maintain appropriate documentation records.
