Role Expectations:

As a Cafe Attendant, you will:

1. Welcome customers, assess their needs, respond to inquiries, and provide information about current and upcoming services and products.
2. Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages and food items, adhering to established recipes and techniques.
3. Organize and replenish displays, package, label, date, and rotate food items for sale.
4. Operate equipment, troubleshoot issues, maintain inventory, and perform routine maintenance.
5. Ensure a safe and hygienic work environment by following cleaning, sanitation, and operational protocols. Food handling or safety certification may be necessary in certain locations.
6. Restock customer service areas, manage supply orders, and maintain cleanliness by disposing of waste appropriately.

This temporary position requires availability to work on a weekly basis for a duration of 90 days or less, including occasional weekends, with flexible scheduling for opening, midday, or closing shifts.

Physical Requirements:

The role involves:

• Frequent movement throughout the store to access various departments and products.
• Ability to remain stationary for extended periods.
• Regular lifting and carrying of items.
• Occasional reaching, bending, kneeling, and climbing.

COVID-19 Considerations:

Our retail locations adhere to all relevant federal, state, and local guidelines regarding social distancing and sanitization. Compliance with individual campus requirements may necessitate proof of vaccination. The use of face masks may also be required throughout the workday.

Qualifications:

Applicants must be at least 18 years old to be considered for this position. Previous experience in food service is preferred. We seek individuals with a high-energy, friendly demeanor and strong communication skills to interact effectively with a diverse range of customers. Exceptional customer service abilities are essential to match clients with products that meet their needs. Basic math, typing, and data entry skills are also required. Flexibility in scheduling is important.
