About the Role

Finger Lakes Community Health is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to lead our clinical team. As a Lead Nurse, you will be responsible for overseeing the operational running of the medical clinical area and patient communication within our electronic health record system.

Main Responsibilities
  • Clinical Floor Oversight: Ensure the clinical area is prepared for opening and closing, and redirect nursing team tasks to ensure efficient patient flow.
  • Medication Reconciliation: Complete medication reconciliation and ensure nursing staff complete pre-visit planning, inventory restock, and quality control measures.
  • Clinical Services: Assist with minor procedures and exams, perform patient screenings and assessments, and complete phlebotomy and lab collection and handling.
  • Care Management: Attend morning huddle meetings, review patient health care needs, and oversee referral processes.
  • Medical Record Maintenance: Chart services in patient records, audit progress notes, and address telephone encounters and referrals.
Requirements
  • A current, unrestricted NYS Registered Nurse License
  • CPR certification
  • 1-3 years of experience working in a licensed setting
  • The ability to work flexible hours, including some evenings
  • The ability to communicate fluently in both Spanish and English
