Daily Responsibilities

The Field Service International (FSI) team plays a crucial role in supporting and coordinating various Siemens Energy entities across the globe, focusing on the 50 and 60 Hz and Legacy Westinghouse markets. The International ADSM/TSE is tasked with assisting the International DSM and team in the proactive oversight of all activities related to on-shore and off-shore Siemens Energy entities and their vendors, ensuring effective support for global service projects.

Key Contributions

  • Foster and maintain strong relationships with local Siemens Entities, including RME, RAS, RLA, and REU, while ensuring positive interactions with local clientele.
  • Facilitate collaboration among platform teams, including off-shore and corporate entities, Long Term Programs (LTP), Specialty Services, Tooling, Parts, SERE, and logistics to deliver exceptional customer service.
  • Oversee the regular activities of the FSI district field engineers and support personnel as directed by the DSM.
  • Assist the DSM in planning and estimating to create proposals and implementation strategies.
  • Engage in semi-complex project support for field service resources and customers through remote communication channels, documenting interactions as necessary. Participate in both on-site and in-house resolutions for semi-complex projects and related field service challenges, sharing product knowledge internally and externally.
  • Collaborate with the FSI Central Operations Group and Finance to ensure compliance with Purchase Order, Invoice, and Cost Transfer-ICC processes according to approved SLAs for each service order.
  • Review complex task plans, drawings, and installation schematics, providing ongoing mentorship throughout the task duration.
  • Participate in semi-complex project support for field service resources and customers through remote communication channels, documenting interactions as necessary. Engage in both on-site and in-house resolutions for semi-complex projects and related field service challenges, sharing product knowledge internally and externally.
  • Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned by the DSMs and FSI director.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • A minimum of 4+ years of relevant experience as a Field Service Engineer and/or Project Manager.
  • Preferred experience in the maintenance of Siemens advanced frame gas turbines, generators, and related equipment. Familiarity with Primavera and/or Microsoft Project scheduling software is advantageous. Experience with SAP PD2 and SFDC Lightning is also preferred.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the principles and practices within the field of specialization, successfully completing assignments. Proven ability to apply knowledge of fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures relevant to the area of expertise. Good working knowledge of systems and processes such as SAP, PCM, WRIT, and NCC/Claims system.
