Job Title: Experienced Clinical Nurse

MD Anderson Cancer Center is seeking an experienced clinical nurse to join our team in the Department of Anesthesiology and Perioperative Medicine. As a clinical nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our perioperative services.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will have a strong background in nursing and a passion for delivering exceptional patient care. You will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to assess patient needs, develop care plans, and evaluate outcomes. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring the highest quality of care and contributing to our mission to eliminate cancer in Texas, the nation, and the world.

Responsibilities:
  • Assess patient needs and develop care plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care
  • Participate in data collection for current studies and contribute to the development of new research initiatives
  • Provide education and training to patients and their families on various aspects of care
  • Act as a patient advocate and uphold patient rights
  • Contribute to the development of policies and procedures to improve patient care and outcomes
Requirements:
  • Graduation from an accredited school of professional nursing
  • Current State of Texas Professional Nursing license (RN)
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification if working in the following department: Nrsg Post Anesthesia Care Unit (600160)
  • One year of recent Operating Room (OR) nursing experience
Benefits:
  • Competitive salary range: $68,000 - $140,000
  • Hourly breakdown of salary range: Minimum $32.69 - Midpoint $50.00 - Maximum $67.31
