We are seeking a highly qualified faculty member to join our department as a tenure-track or tenured professor in Latin Poetry and Critical Theory. The successful candidate will contribute to our intellectually diverse and growing department, teaching at all levels of Latin language and literature, and developing innovative new courses to engage students both within and outside the department.
Responsibilities- Teach at all levels of Latin language and literature
- Develop innovative new courses to engage students
- Direct theses and dissertations
- Contribute to the department's research and teaching mission
A Ph.D. in Classics or a related field is required. Preference will be given to those with a Ph.D. in hand at the time of application.
Preferred QualificationsPreference will be given to those with a strong research agenda and a demonstrated ability to teach and mentor students.
