Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Organ Recovery Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our critical care team, you will play a vital role in facilitating organ donation and ensuring the successful transplantation of organs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate patient suitability for organ donation by reviewing medical records and consulting with medical staff.
  • Coordinate organ placement and allocation with transplant programs and surgeons.
  • Coordinate and assist in the surgical recovery of organs and peri-operative management, including logistics such as arranging transportation and preparing lab specimens for shipment.
  • Provide support to donor families and conduct medical/social history interviews.
  • Update donor information into electronic medical records.
Requirements
  • Two plus years of prior experience in a critical care setting.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment and multitask.
  • Exceptional teamwork, interpersonal, communication, and conflict management skills.
  • Registered Nursing (RN) License.
  • Valid Driver's License with the ability to pass MVR underwriting requirements.
