Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Plant Manager to lead our manufacturing site operations in Big Rapids, MI.

As a Plant Manager, you will be responsible for providing overall direction to manufacturing site operations members to ensure the production of high-quality products that meet Haworth's internal standards and customer expectations.

You will adhere to Haworth's principles and corporate strategic direction, focusing on cost management, goal setting, safety, schedules, member relations, customer satisfaction, quality systems deployment, and other directives in a complex operational environment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading and managing operation members to ensure safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives are met
  • Coordinating plant support requirements with Haworth management, including Material Resource Planning, Product Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, and Quality Assurance
  • Participating in cross-plant communication, information sharing, and team-based activities to improve overall business results
  • Providing leadership and initiating corrective action to resolve non-conformance issues
  • Developing local service supplier base for office supplies and maintenance services

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Science, or equivalent
  • 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
  • 2 years of supervisory experience
  • Experience in the Toyota production system, value stream design, SAP, and lean manufacturing principles

Preferred qualifications include experience in managing large numbers of people, projects, resources, and complexity, achieving superior results.
