We are seeking a highly skilled Purchasing Specialist to join our team at Kumho Tire of Georgia. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for ensuring the timely and cost-effective procurement of materials and supplies to support our production needs.
Key Responsibilities- Procurement Planning: Develop and implement procurement plans to meet business requirements, ensuring optimal inventory levels and minimizing stockouts or overstocking.
- Vendor Management: Manage relationships with suppliers, negotiate contracts, and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Inventory Management: Monitor and maintain accurate inventory records, identifying and resolving discrepancies between ERP and actual inventory levels.
- Supply Chain Coordination: Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure smooth supply chain operations, including shipping and receiving.
- Reporting and Analysis: Provide regular reports and analysis to management on procurement activities, identifying areas for improvement and implementing process changes as needed.
- Education: 4-year college degree in business or related field.
- Experience: 0-5 years' experience in purchasing, with international purchasing experience preferred.
- Skills: Strong communication and negotiation skills, ability to self-teach and adapt to new situations, proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, and basic mathematical skills.
This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with minimal physical demands. The work is generally performed in a well-lit, temperature-controlled indoor environment with occasional exposure to the outdoors.
