About the Role

The State of Indiana is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our team as a Long Term Care Nurse Surveyor. As a field-based position, you will be responsible for conducting on-site surveys in various healthcare facilities to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough surveys of long-term care facilities to identify areas of non-compliance and ensure adherence to federal and state regulations.
  • Investigate complaints and allegations of non-compliance in a timely and professional manner.
  • Prepare and submit detailed reports of survey findings and recommendations for improvement.
  • Collaborate with facility staff to address areas of non-compliance and implement corrective actions.
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities to stay up-to-date on the latest survey protocols and procedures.
Requirements
  • Active licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Indiana.
  • One year of experience as a Registered Nurse in an acute or long-term care setting.
  • Specialized knowledge of nursing principles and standards of care.
  • Knowledge of state licensure and federal certification requirements.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
