Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Cloud Solutions Engineer to join our Infrastructure Production Management team at JPMorgan Chase. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in driving the adoption of public cloud services and leading the migration of our global customers, clients, and businesses to the cloud.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of cloud computing, architecture, and engineering principles, as well as experience with cloud-based technologies such as AWS, GCP, and Azure. You will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable, secure, and high-performing cloud-based solutions that meet the needs of our business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive the adoption of public cloud services and lead the migration of our global customers, clients, and businesses to the cloud.
  • Design and implement scalable, secure, and high-performing cloud-based solutions that meet the needs of our business.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop real-world solutions and positive user experiences at every interaction.
  • Provide primary operational support and engineering for the public cloud platform and debug and optimize systems and automate routine tasks.
  • Measure and optimize system performance, with an eye toward pushing our capabilities forward, getting ahead of customer needs, and innovating to continually improve.
Requirements
  • Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience.
  • 8+ years in a technical development or lead role.
  • Candidates must be certified with AWS Solutions Architect Associate / Professional.
  • A strong understanding of business technology drivers and their impact on architecture design, performance, and monitoring, best practices.
  • Design and building web environments on AWS, which includes working with services like EC2, ELB, RDS, and S3.
  • Experience using DevOps tools in a cloud environment, such as Ansible, Artifactory, Docker, GitHub, Jenkins, Kubernetes, Maven, and Sonar Qube.
  • Experience using monitoring solutions like CloudWatch, Prometheus, Datadog, Splunk.
  • Knowledge of writing Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC), using tools like CloudFormation or Terraform.
  • Experience with high volume, mission-critical applications and their interdependencies with other applications and databases.
