Advanced Practice Provider

As an Advanced Practice Provider at Norton Sound Health, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality, patient-centered care to our rural community. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team of healthcare professionals who are dedicated to improving the health and well-being of our patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and manage patients with acute and chronic conditions, including tuberculosis and other infectious diseases.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient.
- Collaborate with our physician team to ensure seamless care coordination and communication.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families to promote healthy behaviors and disease prevention.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Physician Assistant Studies or Family Nurse Practitioner program.
- Current licensure to practice as an Advanced Practice Provider in the State of Alaska.
- NCCPA, PALS, Medivac, ACLS, and BLS certification/registration.
- DEA registration.
- Collaborating agreement with a physician on the NSHC Medical Staff.
Working Conditions:
- Work is conducted in a standard office environment and a standard clinical environment.
- Some travel is required, including via large aircraft, small aircraft, snowmobiles, all-terrain vehicles, and boat.
