Position Overview:
We are in search of a skilled and dedicated Permanent Commercial Estimator to enhance our dynamic team. This role presents a remarkable opportunity to leverage your expertise within a flourishing construction company.
As a Commercial Estimator, your contributions will be vital in delivering precise cost assessments that are essential for the success of our projects.
You will collaborate closely with project managers and team members to ensure timely and budget-conscious project completions.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Generate comprehensive cost estimates by evaluating materials, labor, equipment, and time necessities for each project.
2. Analyze construction plans and specifications to ascertain the overall project cost.
3. Engage in price negotiations with subcontractors and suppliers to secure optimal costs while upholding project quality.
4. Partner with project managers and team members to formulate a project plan that includes budget and timeline considerations.
5. Conduct risk assessments to pinpoint potential challenges and devise contingency strategies.
6. Utilize financial analysis capabilities to assess the profitability of prospective projects.
7. Oversee contracts and maintain clear, accurate documentation of all estimates and agreements.
8. Apply your construction estimating expertise to accurately forecast future project costs.
9. Stay informed about industry trends and advancements, integrating this knowledge into your work.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline.
2. At least 5 years of experience in commercial construction estimating.
3. Proficient in contract management, negotiation, financial analysis, project planning, and construction estimating.
4. Strong analytical skills with the capability to interpret complex technical drawings and specifications.
5. Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
6. Proficient in software programs related to job costing, scheduling, and project management.
7. Strong organizational skills with the capacity to manage multiple projects concurrently.
8. Detail-oriented with a commitment to precision.
9. Ability to collaborate effectively within a team and engage with diverse groups.
10. Capability to meet stringent deadlines and perform under pressure.
