Nursing Assistant

The Good Samaritan Society is seeking a compassionate and skilled Nursing Assistant to provide quality care to our seniors. As a member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting the personal hygiene and daily living needs of our residents.
**Salary:** $15-$18 per hour, depending on experience
About the Role
This position involves providing resident-centered personal care, including bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing/undressing, obtaining vital signs, psychosocial support, and other personal cares. You will also assist residents with meals and snacks, provide water and supplements as needed, and ensure a positive dining experience. Additionally, you will assist residents in transferring, repositioning, and walking using correct and appropriate transfer techniques and equipment, while providing range of motion and passive exercise. Documentation of resident cares and behaviors will be done according to Society policy, procedure, and regulations.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you must have completion of an accredited nursing assistant training program approved by the location and the state. You should be able to communicate and comprehend, perform assigned tasks, meet requirements for in-services, training, and meeting attendance, and use the electronic medical record for documentation. You should also be able to measure and comprehend quantities.
