KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop comprehensive proposals for various Request for Proposal (RFP) submissions.
  • Analyze and provide feedback on all stages of construction documents to ensure adherence to established standards.
  • Assess and compare vendor quotes to ensure alignment with project specifications.
  • Provide accurate pricing based on preliminary design plans.
  • Evaluate vendor proposals to identify any scope overlaps or omissions.
  • Collaborate with consultants to create specifications for new builds, renovations, and upgrades.
  • Work alongside the Pre-Construction team to achieve project objectives through effective negotiation and vendor selection.
  • Draft and negotiate clear Scopes of Work for subcontractors and suppliers to set precise expectations.
  • Perform additional tasks as required to meet departmental and organizational goals.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in large-scale commercial projects, including education, healthcare, retail, and corporate interiors.
  • Thorough understanding of relevant building codes.
  • Strong technical knowledge across all construction disciplines, emphasizing energy efficiency and lean construction practices.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and cost analysis skills when interpreting blueprints.
  • Proficient in using estimating software and other relevant technology.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, and cost-effective practices.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience in estimating for commercial, civil, educational, healthcare, retail, or corporate interiors.
  • A degree in Construction Management or a related field is preferred.
  • At least 5 years of estimating experience is required.
