Job Summary

We are seeking a Substance Abuse Technician (Client Care Specialist) to join our treatment team. As a member of our team, you will work alongside Substance Abuse Technicians and Case Managers, reporting to the Client Care Supervisor. This role requires a strong understanding of substance abuse treatment and the ability to work with diverse groups of people.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct intake with beneficiaries, including CalOMs forms, consent forms, ROI, assessments, and orientation to the program.
  • Manage bed assignments and maintain documentation in the beneficiary record.
  • Oversee the self-administration of medication and ensure beneficiaries attend all meetings and groups if physically able.
  • Conduct walk-throughs of the facility and beneficiary rooms every 30 minutes and provide documentation of walkthroughs.
  • Monitor and record vitals of withdrawal management beneficiaries as instructed.
  • Complete continuing education and training as required by Cedar House, County, and State mandates.
  • Provide transportation of beneficiaries as needed and maintain a professional demeanor.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma/GED and relevant credentials/skills, including understanding of substance abuse treatment and recovery processes.
  • Ability to address stressful situations calmly and communicate positively.
  • Maintain current Adult CPR/First Aid/AED and registration/certification with CAADE, CADTP, and/or CCAPP.
  • Ability to work with diverse groups of people and resourcefulness in problem-solving.
  • Valid California Driver's License, four years of driving experience, and a clean driving record.
