Emergency Department Technician

Job Summary
Lexington Medical Center is seeking a skilled Emergency Department Technician to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional patient care and support services in a fast-paced emergency department environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide patient care and support services, including vital sign collection, specimen collection, and patient transportation.
- Assist nurses and physicians with patient care and treatment, including administering medications and performing procedures.
- Maintain patient rooms and equipment, ensuring a clean and safe environment for patients and staff.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Participate in performance improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety and quality of care.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required; one year of patient care experience in an acute care setting preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) training preferred.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
