Cavalier Logistics is seeking a part-time professional driver to join our team for local deliveries. This position requires the safe operation of company equipment and timely, courteous delivery of product to our customers. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

* Operating a 26-foot box truck to transport and deliver general and specialized cargo, goods, or materials in liquid, loose, packaged, or palletized form.
* Local delivery of general and specialized freight in accordance with DOT regulations and company SOPs to ensure timely delivery on regular and ad hoc runs.
* Maintaining logs of activities in accordance with DOT regulations as to hours driven and condition of vehicle.
* Reporting information to dispatcher via cell phone or computer on schedule, road conditions, weather, mechanical, or other important situations or conditions that may adversely impact delivery deadline.
* Assisting warehouse staff when needed.

Requirements:

* Minimum 2 years of experience
* No CDL License required
* Good driving record
* Ability to lift 40 pounds
* Strong interpersonal and excellent customer service skills
* Must pass drug test and background check

Education:

* Minimum high school diploma or GED
