Job Overview

Aviture is seeking a seasoned Senior Software Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of the United States Air Force's primary recruiting and public-facing application – Aim High. As a key member of our cross-functional team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable, cloud-native software solutions using modern technologies such as AWS, React Native, and Expo.

This role requires a deep understanding of software development principles, cloud computing, and agile methodologies. You will work closely with our team to deliver high-quality solutions that meet the needs of our clients and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement scalable, cloud-native software solutions using modern technologies such as AWS, React Native, and Expo.
  • Collaborate with our cross-functional team to deliver high-quality solutions that meet the needs of our clients and stakeholders.
  • Develop and deploy cloud-native software applications using AWS services such as Lambda, API Gateway, and DynamoDB.
  • Participate in code reviews and ensure that all code is of high quality, maintainable, and performant.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends in cloud computing and software development.
Requirements
  • 7+ years of professional software development experience building and shipping production-grade software or services.
  • Advanced knowledge of software testing tools, frameworks, and techniques.
  • Proficient in at least two modern programming languages (Python, Java, C#/.NET, Go, JavaScript, TypeScript).
  • Experience developing and deploying cloud-native software on the AWS cloud.
  • Experience with UI development using ReactJS and/or React Native.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to design and provide solutions to complex business problems.
