Job Summary

Sunbelt Rentals is seeking a skilled Road Mechanic to join our team. As a Road Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing preventive maintenance, diagnosing, and making advanced repairs on our equipment at customer locations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on a variety of equipment, including aerial work platforms, general construction tools, and specialty lines equipment.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues to ensure timely and effective repairs.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities and deadlines.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve team goals and objectives.
  • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of our equipment and systems to provide expert-level support.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; trade school or equivalent training desired.
  • 1-2 years of experience in mechanic work, preferably with diesel equipment, heavy construction equipment, or specialty lines equipment.
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record (CDL license may be required in some locations).
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds or more and work in a variety of environments.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bilingual (Spanish or other languages) may be required based on location needs.
  • Knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems, as well as troubleshooting fundamentals.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
