Diesel Mechanic

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team at Sunroc Corporation. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing equipment and machinery, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our vehicles and equipment.

• Diagnose and repair vehicles and equipment, including major engine and transmission repairs and replacements
• Perform electrical diagnosis and repair, including electronic controls
• Conduct inspections and preventive maintenance of vehicles and equipment
• Complete major road calls and perform field repairs
• Keep scales calibrated and certified with the state
• Responsible for safe operation and securing equipment
• Maintain tools as required to perform job
• Ensure a safe and healthful work environment at all times

• Knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, electronics, and associated components
• Attention and commitment to safety
• Ability to follow directions with minimal or no supervision
• Maintain driver's license (CDL preferred) and department of transportation (DOT) medical card
• Clean driving record

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Three years journeyman experience and/or two year diesel mechanic certificate preferred
