Your Contributions in This Role

As a Planning Analyst, you will engage your curiosity and work alongside some of the most inventive and diverse professionals worldwide. Your contributions will include:
  • Developing production and procurement timelines for your designated area.
  • Establishing and maintaining operational rhythms to ensure efficient supply chain processes, aligning supply with demand.
  • Delivering comprehensive planning analysis to facilitate informed decision-making.
  • Publishing and presenting service and inventory performance metrics.
  • Identifying and spearheading initiatives that enhance supply chain efficiency and optimize inventory investment, while regularly updating management on project status.
  • Collaborating closely with business units to comprehend customer needs and forecasts, and working with manufacturing to ensure alignment with business objectives by managing inventory levels and lead times effectively.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To ensure your success in this role from the outset, 3M requires the following qualifications:
  • A Bachelor's degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start).
  • A minimum of one (1) year of combined experience in supply chain, planning, logistics, and/or manufacturing within a private, public, government, or military context.
Additional qualifications that may enhance your success in this role include:
  • A Bachelor's degree in supply chain, operations, materials, business management, or engineering (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with SAP.
  • Advanced skills in data analysis and Microsoft Excel.
  • APICS CPIM certification or a willingness to pursue it.
  • Experience or certification as a Six Sigma Green Belt.
  • Experience in Lean Manufacturing.

  • New Ulm, MN
Travel Requirements: May include up to 5% domestic travel.
