Patient Liaison Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Liaison to join our team at AdaptHealth LLC. As a Patient Liaison, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional customer service to patients and referral sources in affiliated hospitals and clinics.
Key Responsibilities- Customer Service: Provide face-to-face and phone-based customer service to patients and referral sources, ensuring a positive experience and resolving any issues in a timely manner.
- Equipment Delivery: Deliver and provide instruction to patients and caregivers on how to use and maintain medical equipment and supplies.
- Insurance Verification: Review clinical documentation to qualify orders to insurance requirements, initiate verification of patient insurance benefits, and communicate the patient's financial responsibility.
- Financial Collections: Collect any amounts due using AdaptHealth provided electronic tools.
- On-Call Responsibilities: Fulfill regularly scheduled on-call shifts, including delivery/pickup of supplies and equipment in a courteous, accurate, and timely manner.
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate Degree from an accredited college preferred.
- Experience: One (1) year of work-related experience in healthcare, administrative, insurance, customer services, or management, with a focus on DME, Diabetes, Incontinence Sales.
- Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, product and service knowledge, motivation for sales, ability to work independently and with a team, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
The work environment may be stressful at times, as overall office activities and work levels fluctuate. You will be required to sit for extended periods, perform repetitive motions of wrists, hands, and/or fingers due to extensive computer use, and may be exposed to hazardous materials, loud noise, extreme heat/cold, direct, or indirect contact with airborne, bloodborne, and/or other potentially infectious pathogens.
