Job Summary

Western Digital is seeking a highly skilled Software Engineering professional to join our team. As a Software Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing new product and customer features, developing quality firmware using best practices, and collaborating across multiple teams to root cause and resolve failures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implementation of new product and customer features
  • Develop quality firmware using best practices for design, unit test, integration test, and debug in an Agile framework
  • Firmware integration and bring-up of new hardware and new recording technologies, including simulation
  • Collaboration across multiple teams to root cause and resolve failures
Requirements
  • Currently pursuing a Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field with a focus on embedded systems or firmware development
  • Must have the ability to work onsite
  • Programming skills in C++ and Python
