Job Summary

This position is responsible for the safe movement, staging, and parking of vehicles on Auction property. The driver will transport vehicles to and from Auction lots and customer businesses, and drive vehicles through Auction sale lanes on designated sale days in compliance with Auction safety rules and regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive vehicles through Auction lanes on sale day in a safe manner.
  • Transport vehicles to and from designated areas on Auction premises and to and from customer dealerships and businesses, observing Auction driving rules and rules of the road.
  • Line up and park vehicles in the correct order as directed by the supervisor or team leader, move vehicles as necessary, and locate "lost" vehicles.
  • Assist with getting vehicles operating as needed, including inflating tires and jump-starting vehicles using a battery box and air tank if necessary.
  • Notify the supervisor when a vehicle is inoperative, and notify the Service or Gas Truck Driver when the vehicle is out of gas.
  • Assist customers and coworkers as needed.
  • Visibly demonstrate safety commitment by following all safety and health procedures and modeling the behaviors related to such.
  • Actively participate in support of all safety activities aligned with Safety Excellence.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Ability to enter and exit vehicles constantly.
  • Ability to sit for prolonged periods.
  • Ability to walk long distances.
  • Regularly required to stand, walk, reach, talk, and hear.
  • Stooping, kneeling, crouching, bending, squatting, and climbing are frequently required.
  • Ability to lift 1-15 pounds.
  • Vision abilities required include close, distance, and color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Preferred Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous auction experience preferred.
  • Ability to drive vehicles with standard and automatic transmission.
Work Environment

Frequent exposure to outdoor weather conditions. Moderate noise level.

Compensation

Hourly pay rate is $18.81. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include commission and/or an incentive program.

Benefits

Employees are eligible to receive a minimum of sixteen hours of paid time off every month and seven paid holidays throughout the calendar year. Employees are also eligible for additional paid time off in the form of bereavement leave, time off to vote, jury duty leave, volunteer time off, military leave, parental leave, and COVID-19 vaccination leave.
