Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our team at the Children's Receiving Home. As an LVN, you will provide direct supervision of clients during medical exams, prepare examination rooms, and assist medical professionals with patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct supervision of clients during medical exams, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Prepare examination rooms, including cleaning and disinfecting surfaces, and ensuring all necessary equipment is available.
  • Assist medical professionals with patient care, including taking vital signs, administering medications, and providing basic nursing assessments.
  • Communicate with clients, families, and medical professionals to ensure seamless care and coordination.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client care, including medical histories and treatment plans.
Requirements
  • Current and valid California License in Vocational Nursing.
  • Minimum of two years' experience working with children under the age of 5.
  • Experience working in a clinic, hospital, or physician's office.
  • Ability to read, speak, understand, analyze, and interpret documents in the English language.
  • Ability to write professional/clinical reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
Working Conditions

The LVN will work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, providing care to clients in a variety of settings. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently, yet be able to seek guidance when necessary. The LVN will be required to stand, walk, and use hands and arms to perform job duties. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.
