Job Summary:The Speech Language Pathologist will provide in-patient, out-patient, and/or neighborhood clinic services, focusing on functional skills to enhance development, restore function, and prevent disability from pediatric conditions, illness, and injury. The ideal candidate will have expertise in providing services to children with feeding and swallowing disorders, articulation, voice, resonance, fluency, receptive/expressive language disorders, hearing loss, and the need for AAC devices.
Responsibilities:- Provide direct patient care services, including screening, assessment, evaluation, treatment, and home programming for children with speech and language disorders.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other professionals to develop and implement treatment plans.
- Engage in direct consultation and collaboration with families, caregivers, and community agencies to provide education and support.
- Document and maintain accurate records of patient care and services provided.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and continuing education to stay current with best practices and evidence-based treatments.
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field.
- Pediatric experience preferred.
- Ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations, including bilingual and multicultural families.
- State license or eligible for state licensure.
- Certificate of Clinical Competency in Speech-Language Pathology or eligible for application upon completion of Clinical Fellowship Year.
