Critical Care Nurse

Aequor Technologies seeks a highly skilled and dedicated Critical Care Nurse to join our team. As a Registered Nurse in our Intensive Care Unit (ICU), you will be responsible for providing comprehensive and critical care to patients, monitoring vital signs, and managing life-sustaining treatments. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans, ensuring the highest level of patient care and safety.
Responsibilities- Administer medications, intravenous fluids, and blood products as prescribed by physicians, ensuring precise dosing and patient safety.
- Operate and monitor advanced medical equipment, including ventilators, infusion pumps, and hemodynamic monitors.
- Assess and respond to rapidly changing patient conditions, initiating appropriate interventions and escalating care when necessary.
- Collaborate closely with the ICU team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Perform routine and emergency procedures, such as intubations, central line placements, and cardiac monitoring.
- Provide emotional support and education to patients' families, explaining complex medical information and updates on the patient's condition.
- Maintain accurate and detailed documentation in electronic health records (EHR), ensuring all patient interactions, medications, and procedures are properly recorded.
- Ensure strict adherence to infection control protocols and ICU policies to maintain a safe and sterile patient environment.
- Participate in code situations and other medical emergencies, providing critical support to the care team.
- Current RN state license in good standing.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an ICU or critical care setting.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required.
- Strong knowledge of critical care procedures, equipment, and pharmacology.
- Ability to remain calm and efficient in high-stress, fast-paced environments.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
