Job Summary

Lexington Medical Center is seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team in a part-time AM shift position. This role offers a sign-on bonus and provides an opportunity to work in a dynamic and patient-centered environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform duties within the scope of respiratory care, including inpatient assessments, oxygen and routine therapy, arterial blood gases, and mechanical ventilation.
  • Provide outpatient services, including diagnostic studies and pulmonary rehabilitation.
  • Assess patients in accordance with clinical practice guidelines and make recommendations to physicians for the most appropriate therapy.
  • Interpret prescriptions and/or confer with physicians to determine requirements for therapy.
  • Administer medications, follow protocols, and perform routine daily preventive maintenance and quality control.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree in respiratory care from an AMA-accredited program and registered through the National Board for Respiratory Care.
  • Active license through the South Carolina Board of Medical Examiners and certification in basic life support.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
