About the Position:

COC Consulting is seeking a part-time phlebotomist to work in the Olympia, Lacey, or Tumwater area from 5am-8am, 2-3 days a week. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in phlebotomy and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collect patient blood and/or urine specimens using established procedures
  • Properly prepare collected specimens for testing and analysis, ensuring specimen integrity
  • Verify urine and blood test requisitions
  • Identify patients before obtaining specimens
  • Label and document specimens for shipment
  • Maintain daily tallies of collections performed
  • Track and request laboratory and office supplies as needed
  • Provide site-specific procedural training to new employees
  • Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy work environment

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • Phlebotomy certification from an accredited agency
  • Computer and technology proficiency
  • Valid driver's license and car insurance
  • Reliable transportation
  • Ability to pass a background check
