Our National Technical Accounting Consulting (TAC) Practice

We service clients across various industries, including technology, industrials, media, and life sciences. Experienced in serving clients with a local, national, and international presence, we help develop meaningful accounting, financial reporting, and operational solutions for our clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Proven background serving clients in financial advisory, audit support services, technical accounting, capital markets, debt and equity transactions, and operational assessments.
  • Possess advanced knowledge of complex accounting and financial reporting, transformative events, and financial reporting managed services.
  • Deep industry experience to add value to our industry growth teams and service delivery.
  • Provide seasoned leadership to client relationship management and talent mentoring.
  • Assist with practice strategy development and execution.
  • Drive growth locally and nationally in your solution set(s), industry(s), and across the Enterprise.
  • Collaborate with growth teams and business development professionals on client pursuits.
  • Develop a strong understanding of all of RSM's service lines and offerings.
  • Work across RSM lines of service on proposals, integrated service delivery, and cross-selling.
  • Provide timely, high-quality client service, creating recurring revenue streams.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts.
  • Provide guidance and assistance on technical issues and client deliverables.
  • Leverage professional networks for business opportunities, partnerships, and talent acquisition.

Required Qualifications

  • BS/BA Degree in Accounting or equivalent degree.
  • 15+ years of experience in a public accounting (within audit and/or financial advisory) or in a corporate accounting or finance leadership capacity.
  • Practice-specific relevant technical and project-based capabilities and experience.
  • Extensive, hands-on experience in two or more of the following areas: business combinations, debt and equity transactions, and accounting, corporate finance roles, derivatives/hedging, carve-outs, IPOs, IFRS, and global accounting experience, consolidations, joint ventures, fresh start accounting, and buy and sell-side diligence.
  • Excellent team-building skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • CPA, CA, or equivalent certification.
