Production Team Member

We are looking for a highly skilled surface mount technology operator to join our production team at ESD, Inc. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for setting up and operating SMT equipment, inspecting assembled PCBs for defects, and performing routine maintenance and calibration of SMT equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Setup and Operation:
    • Configure and operate SMT equipment, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Quality Control:
    • Inspect assembled PCBs for defects and ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Troubleshooting and Problem Solving:
    • Diagnose and resolve equipment issues and process defects to minimize downtime and scrap.
  • Documentation and Reporting:
    • Maintain accurate production logs, machine settings, and maintenance records.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Experience:
    • 2+ years of experience operating and maintaining SMT equipment in a PCB manufacturing environment.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in programming and setting up SMT equipment.
    • Knowledge of solder paste application, reflow soldering, and PCB assembly processes.
    • Familiarity with IPC-A-610 standards and other industry quality standards.
  • Education:
    • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification or associate degree in electronics/manufacturing preferred.
Estimated Salary: $58,000 - $68,000 per year
