About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced cardiothoracic surgeon to join our team at the West Virginia University Health System. As a cardiothoracic surgeon, you will be responsible for performing complex surgical procedures on the heart, lungs, and other thoracic organs.

Responsibilities
  • Perform cardiothoracic surgery procedures, including coronary artery bypass grafting, heart transplantation, and lung transplantation.
  • Diagnose and treat patients with cardiovascular and thoracic diseases.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans.
  • Participate in teaching and research activities to advance the field of cardiothoracic surgery.
Requirements
  • Board certification or eligibility in cardiothoracic surgery.
  • Completion of an ACGME-accredited general surgery residency program and a cardiothoracic surgery fellowship program.
  • Eligibility for state medical licensure.
