Sovah Health - Martinsville is seeking a dedicated CT Imaging Specialist to enhance our medical team. This role is essential in delivering high-quality computed tomography imaging services while maintaining professional standards and practices.
Core Responsibilities:
- Assess patient medical history and review physician orders.
- Provide clear explanations to patients regarding procedures and equipment.
- Prepare and administer contrast agents and medications as prescribed.
- Continuously monitor patient status and react to any changes.
- Set up imaging equipment and ensure all necessary supplies are ready.
- Adhere to safety protocols and conduct quality assurance checks.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot any equipment issues that arise.
- Position patients accurately and conduct imaging procedures.
- Evaluate imaging results and rectify any concerns related to image quality.
- Document, transmit, and communicate scan findings effectively.
Qualifications:
- Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
- Certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, with a preference for advanced Computed Tomography certification.
- Current AHA BLS certification is mandatory.
- At least one year of experience as a Radiologic Technologist, with a preference for prior CT experience.
