Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct in-depth research on the response of oligodendrocytes to various stress conditions, including ER stress and inflammation.
- Support research in the laboratory of Dr. Yanan Chen, focusing on cytoprotective pathways in oligodendrocytes against inflammation and multiple sclerosis.
- Collaborate with Dr. Chen to investigate cytoprotective response pathways in oligodendrocytes in vitro and in mouse models of demyelination.
- Contribute to various aspects of the project, including data collection and analysis, manuscript writing, presentations, and mentoring students.
- Teach one or two courses in the Department of Biology.
Required Qualifications:
- Ph.D. in neurobiology or a related field.
- Background in working with mice.
