Our Cardiac Care Unit
The Cardiac Care Unit is a 12-bed Intensive Care Unit. The staff care for patients with acute myocardial infarction and complications including cardiogenic shock, post-infarction angina and congestive heart failure. We also care for many other critically ill patients suffering from severe cardiomyopathies, valvular heart disease and life-threatening arrhythmias. This is a cardiac medicine unit, therefore patients post- CABG, valve replacements, transplant, LVAD placement are transferred to the CVSICU (Surgical ICU) for recovery.

Requirements:
- A baccalaureate degree in nursing from an accredited School of Nursing, preferred. Applicants with an Associate Degree in nursing will be considered and must matriculate to a Bachelors of Nursing program.
- Active BLS via AHA, American Red Cross or Military Training Network at time of hire
- Active Maryland RN or Compact License at time of hire
