We're seeking a skilled Progressive Care Unit Nurse to join our team of travel nurses at Travel Nurse Across America. As a PCU Nurse, you will provide high-quality patient care to individuals who require close monitoring and frequent assessment.
Job Summary:The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of recent acute care experience and possess strong critical thinking skills. You will be responsible for providing basic bedside care, stabilizing critical cardiac patients, and administering medications as prescribed.
Responsibilities:- Provide basic bedside care, including changing dressings, inserting catheters, and starting IVs.
- Administer and record prescribed medications, reporting any adverse reactions.
- Monitor and adjust specialized equipment used on patients, interpreting electronic displays.
- Initiate corrective action when monitoring equipment shows adverse symptomatology.
- ACLS, BLS, NIH certifications
- 2 years of recent acute care experience
