Role Summary:

The Customer Care Representative plays a vital role in engaging with homebuyers and trade partners to conduct final orientations and manage warranty service tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct pre-walk assessments of homesites to generate punch lists for construction, ensuring quality control from the construction phase to the handover of the home.
  2. Facilitate homeowner walkthroughs, educating clients on the operation of appliances, heating and cooling systems, and home maintenance.
  3. Collaborate with the Construction Department and trade partners to ensure timely completion of walkthrough repairs within a five-day window.
  4. Organize and oversee repair schedules for trade partners following the delivery of homes to homeowners.
  5. Arrange inspections with homeowners, evaluate routine warranty claims, and ensure all service requests are resolved within a seven-day timeframe.
  6. Provide accurate and timely updates to Customer Care leadership regarding progress and scope of work.
  7. Maintain positive relationships with homeowners, delivering knowledgeable, timely, and professional service.
  8. Assess trade partner and product performance, offering insights to the Customer Service Manager regarding workmanship and material quality.
  9. Assist the Customer Service Manager with special projects as needed and participate in departmental meetings.
  10. Keep precise logs of service requests and documentation of all completed work.
  11. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Preferred: One (1) year of experience in residential customer care or the construction field.
  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • A valid and unrestricted driver's license is mandatory.
  • Consistent attendance and punctuality are essential.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal abilities.
  • Capability to handle confrontational situations with professionalism.
  • Detail-oriented, able to work under pressure, and manage multiple tasks with competing deadlines.
  • Ability to follow directions from supervisors and adhere to work rules and procedures.
  • Open to constructive feedback and a collaborative team player.

Physical Requirements:

This role requires the ability to work eight hours a day, operate a motor vehicle, read plans, climb stairs and ladders, bend, stoop, reach, lift, and carry equipment weighing over 50 pounds. Occasional operation of construction equipment may be necessary. Finger dexterity is required for operating a computer keyboard and calculator.

Compensation Overview:

The expected base compensation for this position ranges from $19/hr to $34/hr, subject to adjustments based on qualifications, geographic pay differentials, and operational considerations. This role may also be eligible for performance-based bonuses at the company's discretion.
