Job Description

Ryder is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Level Mobile Light and Medium Duty Automotive Technician to join our team in Augusta, GA. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing diagnosis, repairs, and preventative maintenance on our fleet of light and medium duty trucks.

Responsibilities
  • Perform routine vehicle maintenance, including tune-ups, oil changes, tire changes, and fluid checks.
  • Diagnose and repair complex issues with engines, transmissions, and other fuel components.
  • Inspect and repair hydraulic brakes, and perform basic diagnostics.
  • Operate out of a mobile maintenance vehicle and travel to customer yards within assigned regions.
  • Represent Ryder to establish relationships with customers and ensure proper documentation of work orders and repair notes.
  • Perform environmental duties, such as site inspections and site clean-ups/disposals.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Vocational or professional diploma preferred.
  • Two (2) years or more in combination of classroom training and work experience.
  • Non-Commercial Driver License CLASS E, preferred.
  • Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) CLASS A, preferred.
  • State driver's license, as required.
  • Pass a Ryder drug test and previous employer's for the past 3 years, DOT physical, Ryder road test, pass a Ryder background check and motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years.
