About the Role

At Wasatch Property Management, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Team Lead to join our team. As a key member of our facilities management team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our apartment communities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the maintenance team and ensure that all maintenance requests are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Manage the inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment, and ensure that all necessary tools and materials are available to the maintenance team.
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules and procedures to ensure that all apartments are properly maintained and ready for occupancy.
  • Collaborate with the maintenance team to identify and resolve maintenance issues, and provide guidance and support as needed.
  • Ensure that all maintenance work is completed to a high standard, and that all apartments are properly inspected and certified before being released to residents.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 3 years of hands-on general maintenance experience.
  • EPA Certified with 3-5 years related experience a plus.
  • Skill in planning, delegating, and coordinating the work of others.
  • Analytical problem solver, developing alternatives and implementing effective strategies.
  • Ability to operate various hand and power tools.
  • Experience in repairing and or maintaining at least most of the following: electrical systems, plumbing, appliances, flooring, carpentry, heating and air systems, pools.
  • Ability to lead staff and build a team atmosphere.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Detail-oriented, flexible, and able to multitask.
  • A creative and motivating personality.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Superior customer service skills.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and rotating on-call responsibility for after-hours emergencies.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
