We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Commercial Driver to join our team at SRS Distribution Inc. as a Logistics Specialist II. As a key member of our distribution team, you will be responsible for delivering building materials to customers in a safe and efficient manner.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver building materials to customers within a 200-mile radius of our home branch, ensuring timely and safe transportation.
- Operate commercial vehicles in compliance with all DOT regulations, maintaining a clean driving record and adhering to safety protocols.
- Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and report any issues to management.
- Validate and confirm inventory loaded on the truck, comparing purchase orders and sign-off on delivery tickets.
- Perform job site inspections to document any existing damage to property and ensure safe delivery of materials.
- Capture photos of delivered materials in accordance with company policy.
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Ability to load and unload building products weighing up to 100 lbs. each, with prior experience operating a forklift or Moffett a plus.
- Safe driving record with no hit & runs or DWI/DUI convictions within the last three years.
- Prior commercial driving experience and knowledge of DOT & OSHA safety regulations for Logistic Specialists a plus.
- Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English and pass a required drug test.
- Must be a minimum of 18 years of age (21 years of age for interstate driving or transporting hazardous materials).
- Home every night with a safe and comfortable living environment.
