Job Title: Early Childhood Educator

Lutheran Services Florida (LSF) is seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Childhood Educator to join our team. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in shaping the lives of young children and their families.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a qualified Early Childhood Educator to lead our Head Start/Early Head Start classroom. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education, excellent communication skills, and a passion for working with diverse populations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and implement daily lesson plans that meet federal performance standards and promote educational and enrichment activities for preschool-age children.
  • Develop and implement individual education plans that comply with federal performance standards and meet the unique needs of each child.
  • Monitor and maintain a safe and healthy environment for children, including meal and snack periods, classroom activities, and playground supervision.
  • Communicate effectively with parents through regular conferences, written correspondence, and phone calls to keep them informed of their child's progress and upcoming events.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and effective team approach to education and child development.
Requirements:
  • Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
  • At least two years of experience teaching preschool-age children in a Head Start or Early Head Start setting.
  • Strong knowledge of child development, early childhood education, and curriculum development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and adapt to changing circumstances.
