Senior Vice President of Information Technology - Strategic Digital SolutionsOverview:
The Senior Vice President of Information Technology - Strategic Digital Solutions will spearhead the Entegris Digital Innovation Platform (EDIP) by developing, integrating, and enhancing advanced digital solutions to expedite experimentation and scientific discovery. This role focuses on harnessing AI, generative AI, hyperscaler technologies, engineering innovations, and PLM systems to propel innovation, efficiency, and competitive edge. The EDIP platform will empower our global research and development teams to collaborate on creating new technologies and solutions in partnership with our clients. The SVP will work closely with senior management and cross-functional teams to ensure that the EDIP strategy aligns with the organization's Strategic Long Range Planning (SLRP) goals, delivering maximum value for both the company and its customers. It aims to bridge the gap between our current capabilities and our future potential.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Direction:
Formulate and implement a strategic vision for digital solutions with an emphasis on AI, generative AI, hyperscaler technologies, engineering innovations, and PLM systems.
Assess and analyze emerging technologies and trends to foster innovation and sustain a competitive advantage.
Design and execute a roadmap for the development, integration, and enhancement of digital solutions, ensuring tangible business value and delivering innovation in manageable increments over the strategic timeline.
Hyperscaler Technologies:
Collaborate with the Infrastructure and Operations team to lead the deployment and management of hyperscaler solutions (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure, IBM) to guarantee scalability, flexibility, and cost-effectiveness.
Maximize the utilization of hyperscaler services, including computing, storage, databases, and networking, to support digital solution initiatives. Develop a global HPC cluster design to interconnect our various technology centers and R&D locations.
Establish a framework for data connectivity and collection, facilitating data sharing and modeling at scale while ensuring data privacy and security are integral to the solution.
AI and Generative AI Integration:
Oversee the incorporation of AI and generative AI technologies into digital solutions to enhance business capabilities.
Work alongside data scientists and AI specialists to implement advanced machine learning models and algorithms.
Promote the adoption of AI-driven solutions to refine decision-making, automate processes, and provide personalized customer experiences.
Engineering Innovations:
Integrate and manage cutting-edge engineering technologies to improve product development and transition to manufacturing processes.
Implement digital twin and IoT technologies to enhance operational efficiency and product lifecycle management.
Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure technology solutions meet both business and technical requirements.
PLM Systems:
Supervise the implementation and optimization of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems to streamline product development and management processes.
Ensure PLM systems are integrated with other enterprise systems to facilitate seamless information flow across the organization.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of PLM processes.
Software Development and Application Engineering:
Lead the design, development, and deployment of custom software applications that will model and automate R&D processes across the EDIP.
Implement agile and DevOps methodologies to enhance software development processes and improve time-to-market by leveraging Low Code application technologies.
Ensure applications are scalable, secure, and aligned with business requirements by adopting a Human-Centered Design approach to application development and deployment.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions that meet user needs and drive business value.
Team Leadership:
Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing team of IT professionals specializing in digital solutions, AI, hyperscaler technologies, engineering innovations, and PLM systems.
Encourage a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the team.
Establish clear goals and performance metrics, providing regular feedback and development opportunities.
Contribute to the establishment of offshore technology centers to recruit top-tier technology talent in data and software engineering. Partner with System Integrators to facilitate the development of these technology centers.
Project Management:
Oversee the planning, execution, and management of digital solution projects, ensuring timely delivery, budget compliance, and quality standards.
Collaborate with stakeholders to define project requirements, scope, and objectives.
Utilize advanced project management methodologies and tools to monitor progress, manage risks, and report on project status.
Operational Excellence:
Ensure the reliability, security, and scalability of digital solutions through best practices in architecture, development, and operations.
Implement continuous improvement initiatives to optimize solution performance and user experience.
Monitor and assess solution performance, making data-driven decisions to enhance functionality and efficiency.
Stakeholder Engagement:
Collaborate with senior leadership, business units, and external vendors to understand solution needs and priorities.
Communicate the value and impact of digital solution initiatives to stakeholders, securing their support and commitment.
Represent the IT digital solutions function in executive meetings, providing insights and recommendations to drive business success.
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
A Master's degree in a Science/Technology field is highly preferred.
Experience:
A minimum of 15+ years of experience in IT, with at least 5 years in a leadership role focused on digital solutions, AI, hyperscaler technologies, engineering innovations, and PLM systems.
A proven track record of leading large-scale digital transformation projects involving AI, hyperscaler solutions, software engineering, engineering technologies, and PLM systems.
Experience with AI technologies, machine learning models, hyperscaler platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure), engineering technologies, and PLM systems.
Skills:
