Eye Care Specialist Position

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Part-time Optical Sales Associate in Vadnais Heights, MN.
The estimated salary for this role is $18-$25 per hour.
Job Description
This role offers the opportunity to provide excellent customer service and patient care while working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for analyzing patient eyewear needs, recommending specific lenses, lens coatings, and frames to satisfy patient needs, and providing excellent customer and patient service according to company and optical center standards.
In addition, you'll be responsible for maintaining a complete knowledge of third-party plans and claims, explaining promotions and special lens offerings to patients and customers, balancing accounts, preparing work orders containing specific instructions for Optical Lab, and processing medical billing information.

Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Maintain license as required by state
- Ability to effectively communicate at all levels within the organization through written and two-way verbal communication
- Able to read and write at a high school graduate level
- Able to sit or stand for extended periods of time
- Able to operate various office equipment (e.g., personal computer, telephone, fax machine, copier, etc.)
- Ability to lift 10 to 20 pounds
- Ability to see (Near, Distance, Color, and Depth Perception)
- Manual and finger dexterity, as well as hand/arm steadiness
- Able to grip and hold items
- Good eye and hand coordination
- Able to operate a cash register, various optical equipment, and tools
